View Full Version : PB Threadfin in Paradise
Just a quick report
Fished today with Timddo and his son at his secret spot in the Maldives, We used live rats for bait. I got a PB Threadfin at 68cm and not long after got a new PB at 105cm. We also got 3 Jew that went back to grow bigger that were between 60-70cm, had about 5-6 hooks pull on good fish too.
Just a quick tip, the albino rats were the best colour ;D
cheers tim :)

Nice one Tim, have you tried those plastic rats yet?
They don't wriggle around as much as the live ones..lol
That background reminds me of the lagoon on Lord Howe Island.
Cheers Brent

It's been far too long between thready captures for me, looks like a trip to the maldives is on the cards.I wondered where they dissapeared too. Might throw the fly rod in and pick up a bonefish while i'm at it. Ben

Nice one Tim, about time you joined the 1m Club ... not sure your membership is valid in the Maldives though.
Good on ya mate.

That photo doesn't look real. How come the fish on the brag mat doesn't have a grey outline around it like the Maldives photo. I think the brag mat photo was Photoshopped :)
Nice fish well done.

i agree Defore, that brag mate photo is dodgy.... but great work to on landing a threadie in the maldives. I almost went there for my homeymoon, but opted against it for the lack of fishing!!!!
great work mate

I'm pretty sure everyone knows the fish was caught in the Brisbane river. What's wrong with this post for people to dislike.
