Currumbin bar update

Went to look at the progress on dredging at Currumbin Creek today.
See the attached photo.
There is a great channel forming now .... BUT .... the sand bar across the mouth is still un-navigable (unless you are foolish enough to brave a 500mtr side-on run across LACEY's to the end of the sandbar :o :o)
I am hoping that in a few weeks the increased water flow through the newly dredged channel will start to wash a channel out to sea .... HERE's HOPING ::)72673

I went over the bar there last Sunday.... no problem,,, ran down the beach to Laceys as well

Did you go over at Low tide last week ? Or was it closer to high?
3 wks ago I went 90minutes before low & had to get out and drag across the sand in the gutter at Laceys with my 4.5mtr tinny + 40 Yammie ... so doesn't need much water to float as it is.
