hey guys just got wondering if anyone has some suggestions on what soft plastics would be best around breakfast creek. I hear you can catch jewfish and threadfin salmon there is this true?? Also what kind of plastic would be a good all round lure for these guys i was thinking trying some 3" berkley gulp banana prawns but would it be too dark since the colour of the water is very dark also what size jighead would be best ill be using 10lb fluorocarbon as my leader and would hard bodies do any good thanks guys P.S what time is best to catch them im thinking on either the start of run in or start of run out till low

cheers grant

Any natural looking colours on Soft plastics should work ok, I would try the Squidgy wriggler or minnow in bloodworm colour, also have had success with the burkley minnow grubs in pumpkin seed colour. Never fished the area you are talking about though I do know people who have had success using live baits there. Last of the run out tide and first 2 hours of the run in is the go, especially if you can time it right with sunrise or sunset hours.
Best of Luck,
