Am looking to replace my trusty old cast net What are these new 'easy cast ' ones like Are they good Or is it better to stay with the old type Any suggestions on brands or makers would be gratefully received CHEERS Fuglee

hey mate, i thought they are all "easy cast" lol. im not familiar with this type. i put a post up a while back titled tips on catching prawns. it may be of some benefit to you.

I bought a mono cast net, surecatch- cheap quality and overpriced.
But thats mostly is what I see in the stores.
Apparently there are top pocket cast nets that have a release string at the top, which is better than scavenging back through the net to get your baits.
I also bought the largest I could with the small sinkers.
I found if your casting a lot you can get a better spread with the lighter sinkers over time, because if your throwing the heavy ones then after about 20 minutes you can get a bit fatigued and you get more dud casts.
