I got a few off a mate of mine yesterday who fished Nerang, bagged out.

Hi Seahorse they are getting a few summeries around dohles rocks go past the ramp like you are going towards the bird hide come back like you are heading upstream to the first line of mangroves there is a big sand bank out of the water fish this on the rising tide , you only need a foot or two of water

I fished the Nerang river Tuesday night for 25 hooter elbow slapper Sand Whiting, averaged over 30cm, 3 were around 35cm.
Fished the next day through till lunchtime for barely a scale !
They can be a bit hard to predict ?

we used to use blood worms there but yabbies should do alright as well

Hi Greg, the wife and I got 15 good whiting in 2 hours at Margate beach Sunday morning, rising tide using bought worms. easy chair based fishing lol. Pete
