Queenfish off the Kayak.

Latest offshore Kayak fishing trip.

101cm Queenfish. Caught one well over the metre mark the day before but I failed to secure the fish straight away and it escaped over board. Never mind. Went back the next day and got this replacement fish so happy again.

Great fighting fish and next one will be just for sport and will be released from here on.

Great fish mate, any more details though? i.e. where do you do your fishing? I can sse a fair bit of structure behind you, did the fish come from this area or were you further offshore?

Caught the Queen Fish at end of jetty which is about 6 ks long. Takes a while to get out there but well worth the trip.
Caught trolling a live Herring........very very carefully and very very slowly.

i remember that jetty from a certain fishing dvd!!! plenty of good fish in close :)
