Moogerah Dam, land based fishing?

Hey there guys, I am heading out Moogerah at the end of october for a camping trip with friends unfortunately i dont own a boat so i am confined to shores.

Can you help me out with a few posible locations to fish from?

Also what rigs/setups should i use, this will be my first time fishing in a dam. I normally use 2 rods, one is quite light with 6 lb mono or braid the other is a medium weight short surf rod with 12lb mono
