Had a late start today with fathers day and all.
Got to the seaway just after 9.30. Found a good show on the southern wall and tried a drift but was moving too quickly. Anchored up and first cast pulled up a 44cm flattie.
Nothing else wanted to bite so we tried another show in a deep hole. Obviously this time of day with traffic the fish had shut down so se tried to pull something off the north wall with a slug since there was a few birds getting around. 3rd cast rod loaded up and dads face lit up. Got it to about 6m from the boat when it jumped out of the water and spat the hooks. Looked like an Aussie Salmon. Couldn't tempt another so we called it quits and cruised around Sovereign Islands looking and dreaming.
