Got me a new setup

Bought this today. Shimano T Series 7ft 6-8kg Rod and Shimano CI4 Stradic Reel. Bought some 30LB Braid which the guys were happy to put on the reel for me. Can't wait to give it a whirl.:)

Chasing Snapper mainly at this stage in the bay. For the size of the rod and the Reel it is a light set up.

Nice combo mate, i wouldnt go as far as saying a light combo for the bay though. Maybe if it was a 2-4kg rod with a 2500 size reel and 10lb braid.


Your new combo would be ideal for chucking 7 inch plastics offshore :thumbsup:

Haha thanks gys yeah Tim I was referring to the over all weight of the rod and reel Used it on Sunday over at Mud Island. Getting a good cast is effortless really happy with it. As for too many JD's Tim I am hearing ya I love the stuff.:)
