Next weekend fishing

Hi guys

I want to go for a fish this weekend with the deckie and have seen a number of threads about the weed in the Pine and if I remember rightly, the Pumistone Passage (Caloundra to Bribie I assume).

I don't have a problem if we don't catch fish, as that (catching fish) is the bonus of a day out on the water, however I really don't want to be pulling 2kg of weed of the line each cast.

I live at Petrie and was wondering if there was a location near by (local, North Coast or Gold Coast) - (not Cairns - all though that would be fun) where perhaps there is nil or at least less weed to cruel the day.

Perhaps out in the bay???? Don't know....

Mate if the ba#tard stuff is still around by then, either try upstream from the highway bridge (less weed further up, find some places out of the current), or out the front of Reddy-work the grounds between Scott's Pt and Scarby reef would be my suggestion if you want to keep it reasonably local. No need for Cairns, mate haha.

go up river (pine) mate. there is not alot of weed past the bridges at all.
