hi all probly not the right place for this. i have a 30cm pet barra in freshwater that has almost outgrown his tank so i want to sell him but i cant cant find out what he is worth anywhere anyone on here got any idea? if anyone is interested in him let me know. i am in the tweed area

Hey Ryan,
It all depends on finding someone that wants it, you could get up to $45, however finding someone that wants it may be hard, expect to get about $15-20 at a pet shop for it, if they have room.
How big is the tank that it is in now? you can slow the growth right down if you want to keep it long term, just reduce the temp to about 23C, and feed it once a week to once fortnight. I had a big tank with about 15 45cm barra in it I just thinned them out with a BBQ, and the rest I slowed down by doing this, just keep an eye on the condition of the fish, if it starts getting too thin just feed it a little more.
