ok, what's with the slime weed? it was the worse I have seen it and doesn’t look like going away. Does anyone know when it will go away? I’m so over it. Forced me back up river, AGAIN.

Anyway, not a huge lot to report today, just a quick one. managed to catch four lizards today, 3 very small around 40-43cm. I didn’t bother taking photos of these. Moved around a bit. Many boats on the water today. Got a half decent flattie (57cm) flicking a berkely shrimp in a hole. all released. Hope everyone had a good day off if you live in brissie.

Isn't there a sewerage treatment works in the Hays Inlet area?

Most probably nutrients in excess.

Winter is a time of relatively low nutrient consumption, due to low light levels, low water column mixing etc.

Could be a theory... you would think the tide could shift it but the tide must not flush too well in that area.

Just a theory mind you.
