I have searched the net to attempt to find someone or something that will convert my ODT docs to PDF format.

ODT is from Open Office 3.3 ( text document )

I have tried several free download thingos, but they are hopeless.

All I want is an option in the " save as " file for " save as PDF ".

Help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-?

Cheers Phill

have you tried printing as a PDF?
some PDF programs convert throught the print function. so press print than select the printer type and if you have a PDF program it should/may come up in there..

make sence

Phil,

Yes, as krazyfisher says, a program that prints to pdf is a good option.

I use PDF995 - it's free from the net but has a pop-up when you use it.

For the amount I do it's not too much of an annoyance.

Hope this helps,

Steve

When I changed laptops, I didn't retain a lot of the software from the previous computer so I downloaded a Driver Mender from the web. Do you think this will help??

no audio device would indicate the sound drivers are not installed, or you had a sound card built into the old board, and the new one requires an add on, but more than likely it will be the drivers, try the very obvious of course, along the bottom right of the screen, is there a little speaker symbol? if so, make sure it has not been muted.

OK, no speaker symbol= no sound driver or sound card, one or the other, when you go to device manager, does it list a sound card/device with a yellow question mark, or nothing at all?

when i look at each it says

This device is working properly.

If you are having problems with this device, click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter.

also , when I upodate, it says " The wizard could not find a better match for your hardware than the software you have currently installed. "

Put the CD that came with the Motherboard in the drive and then run the wizard. It will probably find the correct driver on the CD.
