2010 Saltiga Users

Is there anybody out there in Ausfish land who actually owns and uses a 2010 Saltiga?

Yes I have read the Alan Hawk review, but I can't find any reviews from people who have owned them for an extended period of time.

I currently own a 4500H Maverick, and was thinking of getting a 2010 Saltiga 5000. And no, I don't want a Stella :P.

Hey Ben, I own a Diawa Saltiga S Extreme Z6500 running 50 pound Fins braid. Couldn't be happier with the reel. Well, okay could be happier if I got to use it more and caught more fish but that's owners fault;). Bloody nice bit of gear, but expensive, would definately like another saltiga, something like the Z4500 (which I've seen online for $699 with free delivery) The 2010 Saltiga is selling for $1200 plus, so I would be asking is it worth almost double for the 2010 .

Yes BH, I love the Saltigas - but my S-Extreme 4500H Maverick is great for PE 4 popping, but I want a lower gear model for fighting big fish off the bottom. I didn't want a S-Extreme 6500Z, because they are a little to big, and I didn't want the S-Extreme 4500Z because 4 of my mates had them.

hi benno_r i,ve got a saltiga 4500 2010, taking to the swains next week.

I,ll let you know how it is & compares to the z6000.
