Gday guys,
I have recently moved to the Sunshine coast and brought a 2006 model 1900 offshore Kevlacat. Id like to do more offshore fishing but dont have a lot of experience handling a cat outside.
Previous boating experience was with a Quintrex 530 freedom sport mostly in the passage at Bribie Island.
I would like to get in contact with other 5.2 metre KC owners and hook up to gain some valuable info.
Keen to learn and have fun8-)

Welcome
Oh dear oh dear
Cats are really unpopular
I bet you got that cat cheap as they can't handle the north queensland offshore chop that has been a huge debate on here.
Hope the boat isn't powered by ETEC's as ................welll you'lll find out.
It's not on one of them fancy alloy trailers with all the issues of cracking ?
Worst of all I hope you don't own a landrover. Sheesh:-X

Yes I'm joking - you'll love it.
Look up with a search articles on cats, walking the cat etc etc. Best get someone who has alot of experience local to you to get out there and show you trimming and so on.
They really can be a point and set boat in the right conditions or speed but pushing them hard makes a fun fast trip.
Set up properly they are a pleasure once you work em out.
You are going to love the stability at rest and the ride once you get a feel of it.;D
