yeah mate mossops at cleveland sell a frozen sausage to fit the RJays canister but at $10 a pop for frozen scraps i'll just be making my own at home out of left over bait.

Thanks Muddy i might just stop in and get one or two. Do you just cut up the old bait or crush it with something?

cut, dice, smash with hammer, use mums blender:-X:-X>:(.......freeze it in butter tubs and they go quite nice in the canister.

I use old pillies put through a mincer, and put into a glad wrap lined 100mm PVC tube and then frozen. Cut it about a foot long and it will fit straight insidr your RJayz.

Its funny I couldn't find a Canister in Australia, SO I did a bit of research and found them in NZ !! cheaper then they used to be here, which reminds me I was going to grab another one as a backup !!

Old thread, but are RJayz still making canisters (the holders) and/or sausages and if so where can I get them? I know the canisters are on ebay but keen to pick up this week before a trip to the pin on the weekend.

Cheers and thanks

Hi
We keep all our fish frames, crab carcass etc and make our own burley. have an old mincer that we put them through, mix in a few cat pellets, tuna oil and breadcrumbs. Have cut some poly tube to about 10 inch lengths and line them with a plastic bag. Fill them up and freeze. Once frozen just remove tube and fit perfect in RJayz.

I make my own berley most of the times. I think I might be better just getting one of those $10 mako jobbies from BCF or similar that are adjustable and freeze up some berley and sock it in.

Cheers

Jeez Anthony, you're in deep doo doo mate, if she ever finds out. There are some things in the kitchen you just don't touch, and a blender's one of 'em.

Now, here's the plan. Mother's Day is coming up. See where I'm heading? You get her the biggest, the best, the most expensive blender that money can buy. You know the ones, they've got 200 different functions and you've got to have a PhD in quantum physics to drive one.

Then on the big day, you plead ignorance about the existing one, and offer to take it off her hands for your use. You'll be a hero and mum will never know. Put a big bunch of flowers in the mixing bowl for added effect. Problem solved. How do I know these things? I've been living on the edge for years handling crises like this.

Ended up getting it from Mossops at the Gabba. They do their own 100% seafood sausages too
