Fished the Pine River this morning with a mate . just on daybreak. What a picture perfect morning, 69050clear skies and bugger all breeze. Scored a good feed of Flathead and Tailor with a lonely Bream thrown in for variety. A very enjoyable morning.69052

Hi Flatzie ,
Every fish was caught on small pillies , in the same spot . It was a bit like the day at Coochin that you caught all those Flatties in the same area. Best Flathead session for me ever. Only picked up two undersized Flathead on the day. The Tailor were not thick but reasonable quality. I was thinking about giving the plastics a go but thought the water depth ( 20 feet ) and run might have made it a bit difficult. Do you have any suggestions for these conditions . ( heavier jig heads maybe ? ) Thanks Wayne.

No wonder i never catch much in the pine . you are getting them all Coochin. I fish from the bank (cos i don't have a boat ) at the Bungawarra Reserve. Might have to change spots.

Yeah bigger jig heads will get you down there. But if you are nailing them on the pillies stick with that. There are a lot of flatties around this year! I havent been chasing them for a while, shoud change my name to Snapzie! Just picked up two nice snapper on SPs the other morn off Redcliffe!

Cheers
