Minnamurra River

Hi, I have weekender in Kiama and only fish the beaches when I am there, this weekend my daughter and her boyfriend are taking his tinny down with us and wanted to try the river. This may seem a stupid question, but as I have never fished the river, what is the best tide to fish this shallow waterway, would it be drifting the upper chanel at low tide or tossing lightly weighted baits or lures onto the mud flats at high tide?

Mate probable not the most prolific stretch of water but id head up a bit and find any where there is a bit of a channel and fish the edge of it on the run out.....could be a lizard or two in there.Drift baits or lures along the straight infront of the houses where its turns left and out to sea.
