cockle banks

went out to the cockle banks on queens birthday was a bit windy . done the normal drifting as ive always done with success but this time we did not get even one . all we got were under size flatehead and grinners. did any one have much luck there over long weekend ?

Where exactly are the cockle banks. We go out from Bribie, but never really know where to find said banks. Was hoping to try it this weekend. Any guidance would be appreciated.

not sure about weekend gone mate , but father in law got plenty last week. kindly dropped off a nice bag of fillets , he fishes it regularly and does very well most trips just using blood or beach worms..
