Had my first fish in the river since the floods last night. Found it pretty quiet and only got a couple of hits. Pulled the hooks on one of them just as the leader broke the surface and diddn't get an id, which was a shame because it really gave me some curry.
Got a 90cm jew to the boat after that which put up a great tussle and after seeing the condition of it i could see why. Starting to get a barra shape about them i think. Even got the crease near the tail that fat impoundment barra seem to get. (crappy pic) Ben

I would have been keeping one that size ...the reason i asked was that ive been getting a lot of bream lately and they seem to be fatter, i only keep bream over 30cm and a few of them have been full of roe...i thought thats what he was getting at....

Nice work- I don't usually find big Roe sacks inside until later in the year, from late August - but I don't know the cycle.
