Haven't posted in a while so here goes....
Here is the results of the last 2 trips out on the brisbane river of late.
River quality is starting to look better each time I head out, more bait fish around and more fish on the scene. Haven't seen many flat head since the floods but they are starting to pop up around the river again for me anyway. LoL
Few nice flat head caught which are fun on the light gear, a tailor in the bag and a new species I'm not entirely sure what it is but nice fight non the less. Got a small EC off the rocks which was good to see, also a sole or two around.
few jumping bully's fisheries or water police each time I went out so make sure everything is up to date fellow boaties.
Enjoy and tight lines!

That's for sure it has cleared up and is starting to show some good signs.
All taken on plastics, 1/6 j/h.

Could be a Spotted Hind? I got one last year at Broomes Head that looks quite like it, took it for a Morwong. Or it could be some kind of Slatey Bream? I attach a couple of pics for you to compare. Nice Sessions

my money is on a blackall / morwong / painted sweetlip. Was definately nothing like the second image and not enough colours on mine to match for the first image.
cheers.

mate was telling me that bacteria in Brisi river still hasvn't dropped, it's actually getting worser, hence I wasn't too keen to fish from it, are you aware of this? Have you had any problems with the fish out of brisi river?

daki23, mate I don't take them home hey I am not a big fan of eating the fish I just love chasing them on light gear. My mate used to take them when we would get a good cod or a feed of bream he never had any issues. It is good to see that the river is on the mend though, more baitfish popping up around the rock walls.
