Conditions not the best for the yak but have been having some fun at night. The trevs have been slowing down now, i am only landing around three each trip. I am fishing for 30 mins to an hour on the change of the high tide and am getting enough hits and surface strikes to keep things interesting. The bridge is a little quiet apart from a few good strikes on the livies. I did raise a 70 to 80cm jew and a similar length flatty on the 6lb fireline but pulled the hooks on them both while trying to winch them up. Was disappointed to not get a pic, but they were good fights and it was good to see them swim away. Hopefully next week should be good for chasing macks.

carnster... your the man, nice GT mate, always a shame to pull the hooks on a jew, i lost two big ones chasing jacks this year right at the end.. that GT would have went like hell i bet!!!

Thanks Nathan i should have took a pic while they were in the water or walked them to the side, but it's tough when solo.
I had a quick cast at bond on wed for the run out but only a couple of bust ups. Let me know if you wanna come along one night when the high tide is a bit earlier.

yeah for sure mate would be good to go for a fish with ya mate. I went to bond on wed night as well .. the wind was atrocious there was no action and i left after a fairly persistent hour and a half. Didn't see any action at all damn it.. went to another spot that fires on the run out but couldn't stand the cold any longer and went home (what a sook hey)

Still delivering the goods ay Chris?
Every time I see bust ups from work I start twitching, I really should start bringing my rod to work. I'd just let the staff know to keep pouring beers while i 'go check on the marina' ha ha ha ha ha
Seen a few red devils hiding under the pontoons, only young ones but they're smashing baitfish, must be fattening up for the winter.
Off to China tomorrow for 2.5 weeks- cant wait to see some of the tackle shops over there. IF I get a chance to wet a line I'll get some pics.
Keep up the good work, we'll have to wet a line when i get back.
Cheers,
Jimbo
