Hi all

Going to Woodgate Beach for a week starting 23/4/11. Just wondering if anyone has got any reports from either the beach, up the creeks or around the surrounding areas like Burrum River, Bundy(Baffle Creek)? Hopefully the weather gods will turn it on as I think everyone will agree the weather the past 12 months has been shocking. Once the weather settles abit hopefully we will see some really good results after the biggest flush of all the creeks and river along the entire Queensland coast for some years. I was up at Double Island Point over the weekend and I must say the fishing was very good under the circumstances as it was blowing 20knots + most of the weekend. On the way home yesterday we took a drive up to the mouth of the Noosa River and the gutters just south between the 3rd cutting and the mouth are some of the best I have seen for some years and holding alot of the bread and butter type fish. (Dart, Bream, Whiting, Flathead.) Pulled up and had 6 good keepers in less then 1hr not to mention the 6 or so that went back. Spoke to a mate this morning who hired a pontoon bbq boat on the noosa river on Saturday and reckons they filled a 20L bucket full of whiting, bream and flathead. Not bad for a bunch of mates that don;t even know how to tie a fishing knot.
Anyways any reports from up Woodgate way would be awesome.Till next time8-)

Cheers and Beers fellow fishos
