Hey guys

i got to knock off work early yesterday, and i took my unlce on holidays from NZ out to show him how to catch mud crabs the weather was looking very ordinary, but we gave it a go the wind died off and we hid behind the mangroves, set the first pot and could hear this flicking around the boat, i thought it was little mullet jumping but then i realized ! PRAWNS!!!!!! so i grabed the cast net and decided to teach myself how to throw the net, im still shocking at it but i can manage to half spread it. 1st throw i got one prawn and thought before i have a crack at casting i need to set all my pots, so i fishinshed setting my string of 8 pots and went back for more prawns...while i got the net all ready to throw i told my uncle to grab a fishing rod and chucked a segment of prawn out and caught a whiting within 15sec legal, cast out again and another Legal ting, i started throwing the net (not very well) but for my first time prawning i was very happy, we ended up with probly half a kilo, and 2 tings (decided prawns are better off to keep then use as bait) and checked the pots got 5 keeper males out of 10 crabs in 8 pots.

Talk about a meal fit for a king, one very cheap all you can eat seafood meal !

no photos due to thinking it might rain and didnt want the camera to swim =D
