I think the jewie gods took pity on me fishing in the pouring rain sat night. After offering them some fresh mullet fillets they gave me these two slabs of silver. 75 and 100cm. Ben

Awesome effort, Blooey!

What pound mainline you running? Trace? Also, do you use a fair sized bean sinker for the surf?

Thanks mate.

Ta again. Good luck jackash, fishing northern rivers area mate. Yeah nigler can't see myself ever getting sick of seeing one of them sitting on the beach as the shorebreak recedes. Ben

Thanks for the info, Ben.

Jackash,

Whoa, I don't remember seeing you post since '05 lol! I'm sure you've been on here since, just must've missed your posts. Good to see ya on here either way. Hopefully might see Agnes Jack get back on here one day, too!

Good fish Blooey,
I would say judging by the colour of the sand that its not near my part of the world.
I think someone has been mucking with my mojo again cause all I can catch are throwbacks!!
And my fave rock is starting to get a lean on it;D

Cheers.

He's taken it off that low mount rod built for a perfectly good Alvey and replaced it with a ... Stradic!! OMG!!... the SACRILEGE!!!!!

Great fish off the beach mate and I bet you were happy when they stopped and started coming towards you instead of peeling endlessly towards the horizon just like a big bitey.;D

haha! used alveys as a kid and still have a couple but prefer the spin reels and braid. Still prefer the low rod mount with the spin reels and cast as if it were an alvey. A mate has a flash diawa surf combo with the reel about 2 feet from the butt and i cant use it myself.
Not wrong jackinthebox. When they stop running and start bucking it's a relief!
