Does this unit come with the transducer or do you have to buy it separately?

The one we got came with the 600W transom mount transducer in the box.

You might also PM Noelm on this forum, he just acquired one and it might be worth double checking. If you're buying online, email the supplier and check before ordering, there are many ways to advertise units at cheap prices.

I have the 750S in my boat and Im very impressed with its GPS capabilities, the sounder is good in up to 50m of water. Just a few days ago I had my first trip inot deeper water and in 75m we were getting no bottom picture at all. Tried both frequencies, just a blue screen. Very dissapointed. Still, by hovering around the mark we had, we were able to jig up some rat kings and one keeper. Would have been nicer to be able to see where they were down there.
In the documnets I have from the dealer, it says its a 1KW transducer ? ? Me thinks only 500W. I believe the 1kw is the go for the deeper water so I'm on the hunt for one now.

the "S" model comes with a 600W transducer as standard (the 1KW is an option) mine will read way deeper than that (50M) I suspect you may have some sort of "zoom" on and only seeing mid water, at first I was some what suss about the touch screen, but now I am more than happy with it, and it seems to be OK with wet fingers! and indeed do your homework is not buying local, I installed mine myself and it was a breeze, anyone with some very basic hand tools and a bit of common sense could do it.

OH, I forgot, the manual says something like "1KW capable"

I was trying all sorts of different settings, zoom 2x and 4x, 200 and 50khz, nothing gave a bottom image ? All I had was blue screen with the numbers showing down the side up to 100m. As soon as we got back in around 50m the picture returned.

hey lancair
i have sold/installed few of these no prbs in 75mtrs sounds like maybe range was not set right, or transducer is installed incorrectly something is definatly a miss as 75mtrs should be fine.

What about in deeper water ?
Next opportunity I get, Ill take a run out into 70+m and try again. I had other guys on board who couldnt see any problems with the settings and we tried everything ? ? Prior to losing the bottom image it was always set on auto depth scale and no zoom and thats what I reset it to, after trying other options to get an image. The screen was all blue and every now and then the depth readout would flash a few times, go almost insantly to 15m flash again a few times and go back to 76m and not flash, the depth scale on the side of the blue screen changed rapidly at the same time and when depth showed 76m the scale went to 100m, all the time just a blue screen. Its didnt play up at all in 50-60m or shallower, Im impressed with its capability in shallower water to be honest, its great. But if its not up to reading in deeper water Im going ot have to get another sounder, so I might just replace the lot.

Been at Coffin Bay. Mate has a Lowrance 10 HD. Very impressed, simple to use and I feel more screen for your dollar than Garmin 750s. The Garmin graphics seem Kluncky (not well defined) The trade-off for the touch screen is a screen that is too small.

Have a 750S fitted and we lose bottom at 190M consistently, check the transducer angle,

It good to see this post has gone sideways real fast!!!
The original question was DOES THE GARMIN 750s COME WITH A TRANSDUCER?
I have found out that YES it does, just the one that I got was missing the transducer, apparently it comes in a separate box which the supplier forgot to give me.

yeah, that sort of happens here sometimes, things go off in another direction, I guess I drifted off as well by answering a couple of people in the one post, but, my unit came with the transducer in a seperate plastic bag, not in a box as such.
