just to confirm garmin have released green zones on all charts brought from this week on wards, g2 and g2 vision there is also quite a few beacon fixes on the gold coast,

i personally spoke to the newly apointed australia marine rep and a upgrade program will be happining to help out people who have allready purchesed a chart without green zones , a few things discussed - bring card to boat show and have upgrade capabilities on site to do there and then , send back via place of purchase for upgrade, upgrade will have a charge not sure how much but going buy others around $100.00 is the normal price but dont quote me on this just in discusion stage and i dont have any say, just letting you know what we talked about.

just one more bit of info , it also has all zones you just touch/cursor over the dotted out zone and it tells you weather its a green zone, yellow zone, marine park, dugon zone ect ect
thought this was pretty cool for the commercial guys to have a bit more info

So Wayne does this mean you can just take your SD card in to the tinnie and tackle show and have it updated at a cost? Price doesn't bother me as it would be very handy to have this feature.

used the charts on weekend , green zones are all there and marked out exallent but so are all the zones and marine parks all marked with same red line and not as strait forward as garmin promised (touching screen did not tell me color of zone)but i have the solution i will put a color dot in the middle of each zone so i can distingush the yellow zones green zones ect as we dont have any fishing marks in green zones this will make it easy to tell whats whats

like i said really well marked but with all the different zones quite busy in the moreton area lines seem to be every where ( or is that just because goverment have just gone over board with zones) good to have charted zones and solution should be easy to seperate zones as dots are quite lrg and colorfull on the garmin options
