I finaly got out on the bay this weekend. I had been waiting for the bay to clean up after the floods then my oldest lad had to have his apendix out.
Two and a half weeks later three different hospitals three operations and I lost count how many different beds we finaly got him home last Thursday.
Time for me to get some relaxation I thought. Dad and I put the boat in at Manly 05:30 Saturday morning headed to Green and dropped eight pots in. The water there looked fine.
Off to the Rouse for a fish whilst the pots did there job the water over there was excellent the bay has recovered well at least where I travelled any way.
Managed 22 Whitting most of them where nice fish come back to the pots and found four nice big Sandies in them good quality crabs.
Whilst we where fishing we had caught four big Grinners so I decided to leave the pots in over night I cut the Grinner into two and added a half a fish to each pot along with the Mullet.
Went back to check them yesterday and had Seven more big Sandies in them the Grinner was all but gone and the mullet was all but untouched good bait those Grinner.
So the final tally was 22 Whiting and 11 Sandies a top feed for us and some well deserved relaxation for me.
