Sounder Repairs

My brother is looking for a new sounder for his 520 Formosa.

Enquiries at the local boating mob absolutely poo-pooed lowrance saying that the can't fix them, anything just out of warranty is a throw away job.

Humminbird got rave reviews as he said they have excellent "after warranty" repairs service. Never costing a lot nor taking too long.

Just wondering if anyone can confirm or deny these rumours?

Yep, Humminbird is great.
BLA excel themselves in this respect.

Trymax Capalaba is a repair agent for lowrance, maybe worth giving them a call first.
