Hi,

I'm fairly new at fishing from a boat and generally go out to Botany Bay and out the heads if the weather permits but I don't know enough to find good fishing spots etc.

I recently got a pair of Penn down riggers and would like to use them but I'm not sure of any good deep water sites/reefs out of Botany Bay heads or out of Port Hacking to use them at.

I would also like to try some jigging and bottom bouncing in deep water. Any suggestions on sites within about 15km or so from the heads would be greatly appreciated. Happy fishing.

Cheers

I don't have marks for it, but growing up we used to go out to a spot called The Peak. Shouldn't be hard to get a GPS mark for it.

Hi,

Thanks, I looked it up and found this mark for it S33 58.680 E151 21.570.

I'm assuming this is a reef, so this spot should be good for trawling, jigging and bottom bouncing?

Thanks
Rod

Used to get alot of kingies there so jigging would be a goer, and floating some livies or dead baits down also.
