Looking to buy a backrest for my kayak and was wondering what to look for in getting good support and where I am likely to find a good one at a realistic price
cheers bob

The Big Snake has a Deluxe Backrest for about $70 down from $100. I have one and the quality looks fine

I have the same.. pretty good. Haven't had any dramas with it.. surprising how much difference they make.. The snake place always seems to have % off on kayak stuff of late...

This link is to their latest offers but they don't have the regular special on kayak accessories

Guys,
Deluxe SEAK Seat & Backrest on sale atm for $60 at the big snake, tried mine out today, 6 hours later and I'm all good, gotta be happy with that considering I'm 6'3" with a dodgy back, Cheers, Jamie.
Also have all their paddles on sale, think 40% off. ;)

That was a good tip, got the Deluxe backrest and a decent paddle for $140 delivered (saved $50 plus probably another $50 buying online compared to if I actually went there and had a "browse" ;D). Can't wait to have a crack on the week-end!
