Pine river 13/12/2010

Hi all
Decided to try the pine yesterday instead of my usual logan river spot due to too much fresh in the logan! well the pine was WORSE it was like a chocolate milkshake and full of logs and other floating crap
Ended up with only 1 keeper a bream at 26cm and lost 2 others around the same size. also landed 2 1m sharks 2 eels 2 catfish and 2 puffers from 7 hours!!! and not a single crab!
but still better then being at work.....
will try again wed or thurs maybe the logan this time..........;)

Mate that's a good session given the conditions. How far upstream were you? Did you fish the day or night? Well done.

Just hung around the highway bridge and at the actual deep water bend area from 8am till 4pm. Not sure of any other spots in this river as i have only fished there a few times now. all were caught on prawn.

theyve released a fair bit of water from the dam lately, id be trying around the mouth atm.

yeah I heard a report on abc news radio on the way home saying they had released the dam to bring it back to full!! if i had of heard that on my way out would have gone elsewhere.

The tides aren't good for fishing the Pine this week. Next week looks pretty good with Thursday to Saturday about the best.
