For those that haven’t heard and need an excuse to get out on the water for a great family day…

The re-scheduled Cruise Craft family picnic day is coming up next weekend on Sunday 28th Nov, at Peel Island. It is open to all CC’s - big/small/new/old/shiny or in need of some TLC. Obviously it needs to float ;D & be able to get there, and of course you need to let them know you are attending so they can cater for food (free).

It was originally planned for the 24th Oct, however unfortunately a dud ‘bad weather’ forecast had them cancel at the last minute. We still went & it was a great day, so hopefully better luck this time for the event.

Last year I think over 50 CC’s attended, including some original timber CC’s, and quite a few Ausfishers too (except Timiboy is now ‘Bubi-less’ and is going to the dark side it seems - whenever he can make up his mind ;D , Wags has gone AWOL with his CC up north, not sure if Jeffo or Bobp will be there, and can’t remember any other names sorry!).

The CC boys & girls really put in a big effort, it’s a great day and there are normally some great lucky dip prizes too (no free boats though).

Cheers
Brendon

If I wasn't going to be in NSW for that weekend, I'd be going. I haven't been to one yet but really want to get along one of these days.:(
I'd probably be one of the smaller CC's there (Spirit 470SR) with the exception of the Rogue's (14 foot).;)
From all reports though, it's always a fun day out for the family, with a chance to meet some new friends.

Hey if only they'd build something a bit bigger! Really missing Bubi, but Bubi 2 (dark side indeed!) will be rather nice.

Cheers,

Tim

C’mon lumpy, fair ‘crack’ mate, that is a bit ‘harsh’ isn’t it…? ::) ;D I mean all you need is:
1. A good set of tabs, and installed in the right place
2. A good prop
3. A good skipper

I’ve got 1 & 2 sorted, just need to sort out No. 3…;D ;D

Brendon, my CC is in a shed north of Mackay until the New Year. Still hoping for some good weather for the xmas break. At this stage I won't be attending.

Cheers,
Wags
