View Full Version : Are standard horizon chartplotters any good?

Spotted this one on ebay for $400

Cheapest one I can find. Its for the sail boat, so it need not be that good as I am spoilt with a chart table and can use real charts if needed.

Looks like it might be a winner. I do like the combined GPS and VHF. Only problem is that it would need to be mounted above the chart table where the current radios are, and i cant see that from the cockpit.

I was looking at that exact model for the other day for $470US, might even be the same sellers ebay store, be interesting to see the end price.
