Was out there before all the rain and they were about in good numbers, not sure how all the fresh would have changed things.

Big key for sandies up that way is fresh bait, i use 1 whole mullet to each pot, cut numerous ways to get it bleeding, watch for the turtles as well, can destroy your pots.

Hi,
I'm going out for a run tomorrow morning,so I hope I can find a few around the banana banks. I did a trip in the first week of november last year and scored 9 legals.
Cheers

Rosco, Just a quick one mate as you seem to be the crabbing guru. If i put my pots in the northern bay out on the sand banks would you recommend using weights if so how much.

I crab out there and dont weight any of my pots, Be careful though as the turtles destroy pots very quickly, there is also a pro out there that wont mind taking your catch and removing the floats and rop from your pots.
PM me if you want some further info on the crabs out there, am more than happy to help.
Cheers Lee
