I thought you would have had an answer by now.

I don't know anything about the Furuno unit, but I have been stuffing around to get an EP-20 working properly with my DF150 for quite some time now, so I do have some experience here.(Finally working great after a software update!)

I think you will almost certainly need the EP-20 to get engine data out of the motor and into NMEA2000 "language". I think some of the really new engines can talk direct to digital gauges via NMEA2000, but I'm not sure of this. If you engine is a few years old, I'm pretty sure you will need an EP-20. There is some fun and games getting the right connectors to the motor, depending on the age of the motor.

As to the display side, I couldn't see how or where the Navnet can connect to an NMEA2000 network, but I'd be very surprised if it couldn't if it's a relatively recent model. Could be problems if it only handles NMEA0183. You will probably need to put the display and ep_20 on an NMEA2000 network rather than any direct connection, so there will be a few cables to power the network and T pieces to connect the display and the ep-20 to the network.

Hope I'm not telling you stuff you already know. Cheers
