G'day all,

I bought a spool of Zulu Braid today, anyone heard of it or used it before?? If so what is your opinion of it?
The bloke at the tackle shop tells me it's made at the Finns factory, it's PRT Spectra Instinct Zulu Braid, the reason i grabbed it was mainly to try it out, also because it was on special 200 yards for $29........ first impression is it looks an feels very similar to Finns and Tufline XP........... i'll let you know how i find it anyway.
Oh and i bought it in 15lb to chuck it on my Baitrunner 4500B, also shouted myself a a Starlo Stix Snapper Rod 6-10kg....... thought it would go nicely with the baitrunner..... and went for 15lb so i can feel the lightest nibble, i mainly use the outfit for live baiting in the estuary's.....

Catch ya's later!

It is a good honest braid, I think it is no where near the thinnest for its breaking strain and breaks about 1/3rd higher than its advertized strain.
Zulu is an acceptible braid and I do not think you will find a reason to hate it.

my brother uses it, i gave it a go. Its fine, especially for the price. Not my prefferred braid but does the job almost as well IMO. Can't fit quite as much on the spool as say fins or powerpro, but saying that, it's not like I let the barra and jacks strip too much line otherwise they find their way back to the sticks. Doesn't cast quite as well either, but hey at 1/2 the price you won't find me complaining....too much

Zulu braid has been given a fairly good work out over the last few weeks, so far no complaints. So if ya see it on sale, buy it.
