Hi Steve (and any others with a Peterson trailer),
How have you found the skids on the Gelcoat of your boat?
I'm currently looking at purchasing a new boat (5m) and am looking at different trailer options.
The current boat I have is on a keel + side roller trailer which I have found ok (since putting sleeved Stainless pins on). But was looking to avoid keel rollers only for the fact I wan't to put a keel guard on the new boat.
I usually winch on rather than drive on most of the time (though with the right trailer this could change)
I have had limited experience with other types of trailers but looking at the ends of the skids with the open aluminium box section, have you ever been worried about damage from this?
Do have have to sink the trailer more with skids rather than rollers to ensure you don't hit the first cross member?
Sorry for all the questions, just want to get a good trailer once and for all...
