Hi all,

I am currently having my 4.3m Webster Twin-fisher CC drastically modified. It's a 97 Model (sold in 2000) so it doesn't have the all the upgrades that the new ones do like pods and internal fuel tank. After owning it a few years I have ironed out all the little things that I don't like in the boat and am getting them sorted. While this boat was always going to be my inshore/bay boat I have been using it offshore mostly as it is capable enough and it was getting the job done. After the mods are finished she will be relegated to the smooth/semi-smooth waters and the big boat will be coming soon to take care of the offshore duties.

* Already done is a 55l Fuel tank in the back in the centre of the transom.
* Two nice sized wells either side at the back for water that gets in to fall into where twin Bilge pumps are located (small rubber bungs to allow the last bits of water to drain into the hulls at the end of each trip.
* The folding seat that was attached at the front of the console has been moved down the back centre to accommodate those few days I have 3-4 people on board.
* Back rest for the seat is a removable bar that locates in the transom and has a sissy bar type set up for 3 rod holders aft of the seat and clears the motor.
*From the centre console forward will be a casting platform to where my clears use to clip on which will incorporate my 90L esky, leccy battery, storage of safety kit.
* Each side of the console will have 3-4 shelves for tackle trays and a pull out draw at the top for things like line cutters/leader and all those small things that you use all the time that end up on the floor. fingers crossed 3 x rode tubes each side for rod storage.
* Towards the front of the casting deck will be the mount for a little casting seat
* A very small anchor well is being cut into the front port side part of the very front of the bow.

Off the top of my head those are the mods. Pics to follow as I get some.

As the boat is currently powder coated from new there will be lots of exposed ally now. While I am not one for the looks of the boat and could care about how it looks as this is my rough/offroad boat. What are your thoughts of leaving it bare? Am i exposing it to any undue oxidising that could see repairs needed in the future? M

My inclination is just to leave it rough and fish the hell out of it.

Cheers

Chris
