Great service from Tackleworld!

After years of going to BCF for all my gear, I decided to have a look at the tackleworld not too far from me, I went in just for a stickybeak, and told the guys that on the way in. They were fantastic, they let me look around, ask stupid questions and chatted to my kids while I had a look around.

I ended up buying a reel for one of my kids to replace his old one, so they got a few different colour ones out to see which one he prefered, then after I paid for it and was outside loading the kids into the car, the sales guy came out and said he just wanted to check what he had charged me for it, and then said "Yep I thought so, here you are mate I charged you $10 too much, I forgot they were on special" and handed me $10.

I will definately be going there next time I need something, and for the record the only reason I went was because I saw an ad for them on Ifish, so advertising works!

I love getting good old fashioned service, it seems so rare these days.

I too have to congratulate the guys at Tackle World Sandgate......they are absolutely fantastic and more than happy to assist with enquiries and offers.
They are a great outfit there and should get more praise.
and to be honest.......the prices are not that much more than BCF and the service doesn't even compete.

Yep it was Sandgate, Im not sure what the guys name was, there were 2 of them, the other one looked like the owner, not the guy that served me. Both very helpfull.

Well its seems to be a trend. I'm a pretty big fan of Tackle World Townsville.

Normal stuff when comparing with BCF. You ask a question, and the guys generally know what you're trying to spit out. Plus, they're all fishos which sort of helps. Not afraid of handing out local knowlege either, which means as I travel, I'll always go into a store and ask questions when Im stocking up.

Same thing up here in Cairns, the missus loves the place cause they don't make her feel stupid when she goes shopping for my Chrissie pressies.

our local tackleworld at kawana on the sunny coast is much the same. very knowledgeable staff. the service doesnt compare anywhere near bcf. you dont mind paying the couple of extra bucks when the knowledge you gain off them is invaluable IMO.

Tick another one up for Tackle World at Sandgate. I lost a handle off one of my winches at the weekend and wanted one in a hurry. I asked if it was possible to order and pay for one and pinch a handle off a stock winch they had and it was no problem. There was a miscommunication in the price which was not their fault, but we came to an agreement and split the difference down the middle.

Can't sing their praises enough, I will be spending quite a bit there in the future me thinks...... I only went there because it is close to where I am working at the moment and was most impressed. I believe the guys there are Trevor and Chris.

good service really is rare and we found plenty of it at the sandgate store. one of the guys even took time to show my son how to tie some basic knots. last time I was there I did see trevor, he decided to stay with the new owners. good effort sandgate.
