Any chance you could point the direction to a spot to try for these Whiting. I go there a little bit without rods but have seen the place in perfect conditions for a little fish. Were they Winters or Summers.

Cheers

Going up there Friday morning for a few days, hopefully the fish will be on the chew with the southerly winds about.

Check out this recent contribution from from 'Slider' (QFM correspondent Lindsay Dines) in May in regards to fishing at Noosa Northshore / Teewah / DI beaches for a little insight into why there may be no tailor biting along this section of beach. :'( http://www.ausfish.com.au/vforum/showthread.php?t=164292

If you get really keen and would like to read some more details on his thoughts and theories try using the search function to go through some more of his posts.

I had a run up there today. Conditions pretty good although the swell was a bit larger than I would have liked. Plenty of worms on the beach but not many fish interested in eating them. Took a few dart, best about 45cm. Could probably have found a few whiting in close as there are plenty of shallow gutters and holes but no big deep gutters that I could get too. Was going to try to spin up a tailor or two but the good water was out of reach. Was nice to be out on the beach again - it's been a while!
