A hot session we had on some new ground at the bottom of the hards in some odd 80-90m. Best conditions I have ever been in out that far.

Thanks Lucky Phill, it was 12 of Dec 09 - Its only the 3rd time we have been able to find goldbands, not an easy fish to find.

Thanks Astro.

The hards can be a funny place to fish, I agree.

Always come home with a feed from there anyway.

There is a rather large pinnicle in that area you were near ( I am assuming ) that holds a lot of AJ's, and it's always a treat for the forearms to get tangled up with these critters while trying to dislodge a reef fish from further down the water column.

Astro,

Nice Fish, looks like a great day.. one of those few and far between ones.

One thing I noticed is that not alot of the fish have blown their bags, I tend to find the same offshore in 60-80mtrs or so, pearlies and snaps rarely blow their bag, contrary to many peoples experience.

Regards
Honda.

Lucky Phill - Hards are a very weird place to fish, we found this group of fish in a flat bottom, with almost no structure, could not find any pinnicles but a ball of fish right on the bottom. Being new ground we didnt get enough time to sound around enough, maybe next time.

Honda - Yeah im glad i went on along on that trip.

Very true, it was only the odd fish that came up blown, as per the other video with the tuskies we were in about 30-35m and almost all the fish came up blown.
