Logan River invite

I've fished a few times lately with good mates Jeremy and Brad and showed them a few brissie river spots and helped introduced them to fishing Hard body lures but today they took us around the Logan River. I've never fished there before so I was excited to look over some new grounds and sights. We only just scratched the surface but we did find a few fish while casting baby cranks. Actually we did get burned by a couple of fish which I'd call logan river jacks. Had encounters with heaps of undersized bream but also managed a few keepers. We took a few home as Brad was after a feed for his Grandfather. I think The boys scored a couple of bream while casting lures but I know they would have had a better chance with an electric. Anyway nice morning and great company.Cheers

there is some small sharks belting baits and any thing that moves in the logan at the moment good to see you got a couple of keepers

I was surprised Hilly, so much boat traffic but still a great river system and prawns everywhere. We mainly fished the shallow edges and rock structures . We did see one older gent pull a jew in the late 60 cms out of a deep hole.

Good fish there and i bet the logan is full of bait fish as well.

Young Brad who we fished with went tosarf and fished around the same area on the top of the tide and had bream after bream .(Fish a cast) alot of fish over 30 cm and lost a few horses. R2S baby cranks did the damage. Trouble is he's got 5 weeks off so I'm sure we'll hear a few stories while we're working ;D

Geez those bream are clean looking for river fish. How far, just approx were you up the stream?

they tell me we were about 5 minutes from the mouth. Can't really say where we fished as the boyz took me to a few of their spots. Water was pretty dirty on the week end but Brad said it was good clean water yesterday.
