Hi all
Setting up a live bait tank in my boat, want to target some cod etc in the bay.
Anyone used Yellow tailed Pike for livies, are they tough and last well in the tank?
Any other suggested top baits to try?
Cheers

have used yellow tail pike for livies southern bay, down that end they are my preference for livies as there easy to catch on SP with no effort at all. caught good cod on them around peel and patts point. they have the ability to keep well, sometimes though they will go tummy up on you as they loose scails and slime easil, just try not to handle them to much or use a wet rag.
good luck
troy.

Whiptails. slimies. Try round any of the beacons in the bay, especially in the shipping channels measured mile, 4 beacons etc etc

The best spot to get livies esp yellowtail and slimies is M5 beacon. E2 at the four beacon is pritty good aswell.
