Righto guys and Gals
To cut a long story short i have finally purchased my first boat. (yay, No more borrowing dads haha) Its a 4.6m clark runabout with a 60hp honda strapped to the back. I live in kingaroy and have done quite a bit of fishin around the dams and a bit through esturays and close reefs. I am by no means searchin for that all important secret spot but i would love to get some help finding my way onto some reefs that actually produce some keeper fish. as i said i live in kingaroy so anywhere from 1770 all the way to the gold coast is an option for me. I am just chasing some direction and some advice on catchin a few keeper reefies or pelagics. i have an epirb, gps, and furuno sounder if that helps. thanks in advance ausfishos.

Hey mate the best place to start is to go buy the north australian fishfinder book or beacon to beacon.pertty much any decent newsagent should sell them. Decent spots with gps marks and pretty much watch your sounder on the way to the better known spots to find your own hotspots.Thats how i started off anyway mate.Good luck

Hi
The web is a good place to start for some general gPS marks. Nuggets website holds some but if you put in say Murphy's reef off mooloolaba it will come up with marks as will wide caloundra etc. Fishntales is another site with general marks for hervey bay and Fraser. Also get hold of some Sun Maps that should be available at any fishing store. They have them for moreton bay, calondra-- ALL along the coast.
That should keep you out of mischief for awhile. Apart from that I am sure there are plenty of threads on here to look through for some general info.
