hey guys.
me and my friends are considering a trip to vanuatu for schoolies 2010. we decided to avoid the riff raff of the gold and sunny coast and just have the experience of a lifetime.
we are looking at getting a 4 or 5 day charter focussing on game fish. i have browsed the net a few times looking for charters to go on.
does anyone know of any charter operators they could reccomend that focus on doing this sort of fishing. there will be five of us going.
thanks troy.

Give Gordon at www.corporatefishingcharters.com.au (http://www.corporatefishingcharters.com.au) a bell. He has been organising just what you are looking for over the last 15 years. Vanuatu is about as far away from schoolies on the goldcoast as you can get....both distance wise and lifestyle wise. Enjoy a wonderful experience......the locals are the most friendly and obliging people you will meet anywhere in the world. Make sure you get in a few trips up to the villages and meet the true locals (not just the expats hanging around the bars in town.)
Cheers

I did a charter with Crusoe - didn't catch anything on my day but saw two big blue marlin in the pattern, not their fault, just the moon and tides
I would seriously see Crusoe if you want a Vanuatu charter

I can recommend Charles Wheeler who runs the 34 foot Blackwatch "Nevagivup",
he is a very good skipper and will put you on the fish. Check out the website www.crusoefishing.com.vu

I agree with "rogerb" Charles was running the operation we used there, a 40 ft Blackwatch at the time was only $1500 per day for the boat skipper & 2 deckies. We caught 2 blues both over 500lb and half a dozen yellowfin from 30 to 60 kg. You'll have a blast.

Good onya for dodging the coasts schoolies joke.
You will have an awesome time in Van, and remember the trip forever for all good reasons.
Cheers,
Myles
