Infraction notice

Just wondering what an infraction notice is and what are the consequences. I don't often post anything and when I did the post got moved and I thought it was deleted so I reposted it, this is where I got an infraction from mod 5.

I am still not clear on what an infraction entails. Do I have a record forever? Am I restricted on what I can do? At what point do you start having restrictions?

In the years that I have been a member of Ausfish I make very limited posts, I mostly sit back and read. How many infractions do you get before you are banned from the site?
Seems like the infraction I got for posting in the wrong area is debatable anyway. It was about the gates locked at Somerset which is a general discussion not necessessarily specifically aimed at freshwater.

How do we found out how many infractions points we have??
Is there a points system for loss of privileges??
I want to know to see how vicious I can up some-one.
Don't know who yet but it would be nice to know just in case.... ::)
