Hi All
Going to Noosa at Easter along with the half of Queensland!! I'm taking the boat maybe?? Has anyone know where to go fishing?? Isn't the Noosa river a green zone of some kind & cannot fish there?? I have a glass boat with a 90 Yama on the back but only new purchase with I've been out in the Bribie passage a few times getting to know the boat & getting my head around all that goes with the purchase. Where to go fishing around Noosa I know there will be lots of traffic around which will be a drama I took the boat out at the Aussie day long week-end & there was boats jet ski's sail boats going everyway I watch boats dragging crab pots, he just motored straight accross them, jet ski's doing donnut's around little dingy's it was a dangerous place to be in a new boat my nerves were shot after a few hours, so maybe early in the morning's home early are there much in reef's out the front & is the Noosa bar a problem or maybe worth trailing the boat somewhere towards south etc etc any pointers would be great as I'll have a few kids also wouldn't mind catching a few fish as most times the kids are around, I'm doing the bait & tackle stuff whiich most times I just looking after them, anyway guys & girls anywhere around the north coast from the north end of the passage to around the Noosa area

hey mate as far as estury fishing goes your fine to fish the lower reaches of the system with out worrying about green zones. the noosa bar can be a bit of a prick but on a good day its fine, just gotta familiarise with it first. unfortunately for you easter weekend is mayhem on the water and most of us locals steer clear of the river till the out of towners leave. the rriver is very hot and cold as far as fishing goes, ive caught plenty of decent fish infront of the coast guard at the munna pt caravan park is a good place to start. abbo

Thanks Abbo
Mate is there a green zone there somewhere?? I have a look in the books or on the Gov website, & is there a reef out the front fairly close?? I haven't fished the area at all & wouldn't know where to start I have the beacon to beacon & a few maps/charts etc But I'll check out around the place around the coast guard, yes it will be full on at Easter most likely just getting the kids out in the boat but if I can sneek away I'll try some early morning stuff but thanks again mate it all a help
