Hey people,
Caught this little guy in the Brisbane river on Wednesday arvo in the cast net. Looks kinda like a seahorse but I'm not sure. It was hard to touch and moved on the ground by propelling itself upwards and forward with its head and tail. After a few photo's it was released healthy. Photo's are poor as they are only off my mobile.

Looks pretty much like a pipefish

Google image search has confirmed it was a pipefish. Thanks. Also managed a bony bream in the cast net, a first for me.

yep.... pipefish..hard to light but

Asians will be down there cast netting them next --- makee dikee big and strong ---- full sized ones get good money on the black market.
