Just in the process of booking a house for a few days fishing over easter. I usually go to evans head as it generally fishes pretty well at that time for spanish/spots/wahoo. I'm thinking maybe a change and giving rainbow beach a go. Apart from usual DI reefies how does easter go for mackies up that way? I'm thinking easter is probably after the main push down but before they run back so maybe not that good?? Or maybe it goes allright al the way through summer? Any advice on this from those that fish that area a bit would be great.

Scott,
March/April usually is great for spotty mackrel at Rainbow Beach. They school up in 30 metres just north of the bar on top of the coffee rock before heading back up north.
Cheers
